WELCOME TO THE LUDWIGS

Located at the foot of the Thörnich Ritsch, our winery boasts a long family tradition. Since 1628, wine knowledge has been passed down from generation to generation. This heritage obliges us and at the same time motivates us to lead the winery successfully into the future. In the vineyard and in the cellar, we work in harmony with nature, harnessing the great potential of our unique terroir. Our goal is to bring the quality of our excellent vineyards into the glass. This results in authentic, natural wines, as only those grown on the slate of the Moselle can mature: Clear structure, invigorating acidity, minerality, and balanced fruit aromas.

THE WINEMAKERS

Thomas is a true Moselaner. Born in Trier in 1972 as a direct successor to the winery, he later studied viticulture in Geisenheim with stays abroad in Greece and southern France. While still studying, he co-founded the original version of MoselJünger with some fellow winemakers. To this day, Thomas is involved in various committees in the Moselle wine region and passionately promotes the image of the Moselle growing area. At the winery, Thomas is responsible for viticulture and the cellar. Meike, originally from Berlin, found her way to the Moselle, and thus to Thomas, through studying geography. She heads the administration and customer service department. Both share the tasks in sales.
